Red focus attacks now absorb 2 attacks, curious how they will affect everyones game plan. cant just use a 2 hit move or combo to punish them, now you need 3!!

And dual ultra`s but with reduced damage.

What are everyones thoughts on these game changers?

Sounds interesting, it's gonna shake things up and introduce new strategies. I like the fact that the red focus will use up metre so it shouldn't get abused to bad. Maybe if they made it so you cant dash out of it until it's level 3 which means you will have have to commit to a full level 3 focus attack once you start it up that could make sure it doesn't get spammed. I feel for Dhalsim though his medium kick is getting buffed to where it hits twice, not as effective now. How many times have you been in a situation where you thought "damn wish I picked the other ultra" sacrificing damage for the peace of mind you can get out of more sticky situations seem's like a fair trade to me.

Think the red focus will come down to how much meter it costs. If its 2 then i dont think itll be widely used other than a wake up attack. Sure does mix it up. Alot of characters have a 2hit move, gonna have to work a jab in there maybe.

The dual ultras i think will be very interesting but could lead to some imbalance. Wonder if its possible to use both in the same round hehe

Doesn't akuma and oni have firebals that hit 3 times?
As for the ultra's I think it will be one or the other until you build the metre back up.

oni has a few moves i believe that do 3 hits, his dragon punch does methinks. could be wrong only played as him once.

Once the timing for late wake ups is all figured out is it a matter of time before that is incorporated into the vortex characters game though?

  • EX Red Focus Attack cancel costs 4 bars
  • EX Red Focus Attack Level 1 does not crumple the opponent 
  • Delayed wakeup activated by holding any two buttons when in hard knockdown

i think the online training is a great addition though ive never used it in sf x tekken cus i dont own it yet heheh Smile

i played some team battles lastnight and it was kinda annoying if the person going first wins every match, atleast the new setup, they have the odds stacked against them somewhat with not having full energy.
