Dojo Tournament 2013

hey guys id just like to let you know that I will be hosting a tournament next friday at around  10:00 PM Eastern time. I understand that multiple members are not in the timezone so If everyone participating in the tournament could send a Friend request to my GT which is SQMZY so i could sort out a time in which every one could participate that'd be great . Im hosting this tournament to learn more about you guys and get some fighting tips so we may grow as a community   message me ASAP

since that would be 7pm PST i should be able to make it

Can you make it 11pm or 10:30. 10pm is 6 o clock my time and that's when I get off work. So a little more time would be great so I can make sure I'm on.

 Dude you have to get a list of the entrants before friday, also make sure you know how to randomize the brackets. Decide whether it will be single or double elimination. Make sure everyone understands basic tournament rules (ie: best 2 out of 3 you can only change character and ultra if you lose a match)

no no ill make it so both regular and AE are aloud, only issue is if one has AE and another doesnt, you'll have to use regular characters

 I gotta say this doesn't make much sense. The patches for each character from super to ae varies depending on which character. But if you really think it'll work then ok.

99 time limit

tournament mode

AE and regular SSF4 (but if one has it and another doesn't you'll have to use the original characters, deal with it)

9 people coming, which is how big a tournament can be so its perfect

no character switching

Ultra and super can be used at your disposal

sounds good, my only concern is if we get more than 9 showup, do we have an idea or solution for that should it arise?

and i take it you`ll only be fighting if less than 9 show.

 The "no character switching" rule is a bit vague. Do you mean mid-match? So the loser of a round can't counter pick now? Or do you mean they have to stay with the same character throughout the tournament? But that brings another issue.

I kind of don't like vanilla and ae together but whatever. I just want to see how well I can hold up against everyone here

Well tbh it's whatever. The result of this thing doesn't mean much. It's a bit improvised. The poll on this thread says 4 people claim they are going. And you say we have 9.  I'm gonna just go out on a limb here and say you have people on your friends list that are unofficially part of the tournament as well.

... That being said, hopefully I'll see this go down on Friday night. Good luck to everyone.

 Lol, and what if I play an AE only character? Or how is that fair if I play a character that is decent in AE but absolutely terrible in vanilla..

plus if its ae only character and you face a non ae player, you would have to swap characters.

We can settle this right now lol whose using who off the bat? I'm sticking with gouken all the way
